Just a quick one for you today.

Do you feel like having your identity stolen?

Feel like explaining to your significant other why you spent $10,000 on jello and midgets in Las Vegas?

It could happen!

What do I mean?

Look at the envelope that contains our ballots.

What do you see?

You see that it has the voters name, their address, and their signature…

So that’s enough to steal someone’s identity first.

Second, it’s enough for bad actors to take pictures of and use your signature on other ballots, maybe in the general election?

There are a host of other issues I could dive into, but think about it, Washoe County sent out our ballots last Friday, far earlier than the timeline they furnished us shows, they never sent out sample ballots as required by law, or if they have, we haven’t seen them.

They are sending out ballots to people who opted out, they are sending multiple ballots in different political party formats to the same people, and God only knows how many ballots to unlawful voters and people who have moved, etc.

Now they send out envelopes that broadcast all your personal details and signature to the world.

What could go wrong, right?

What we should be asking is when will they do it right?

What’s so hard about sending ballots to people?

Counting ballots properly?

Running legit elections?

We ran a caucus in 2 hours and knew the results in one night!

What’s the county’s excuse for constantly screwing over the voters with their most important right, the right to vote and peacefully tell our servants who we want to serve us?

When will people wake up and come together and say enough….?

Beadles

P.S.

Needless to say, I wouldn’t mail my ballot, I’d take it to the ROV HQ at 1001 E 9th Street and hand it to them.
