Did you see the “news” last Thursday, 5/9? KOLO’s propaganda fluff piece covered the Washoe ROV election process…

Wow, so we have a “NEW” ROV, and now we have a “NEW” Deputy ROV.

“There is a new Deputy Registrar as of 10 days ago. Andrew McDonald comes from San Diego County where he supervised election systems like machines that counted votes or verified signatures. In Washoe County, he’ll be supervising election centers, personnel, equipment, and training. “So, I am wearing multiple hats,” says McDonald. “I am doing a lot of things operationally that I didn’t do before.” The article continues: McDonald says the primary election is a great opportunity to observe, and make changes if needed to allow for an even more efficient General Election in November. It further states: On June 11, 2023 election night, observers from the Republican Party, two of them, and representatives from the Democratic Party also two representatives and four from various parties will enter the observation booth. They will watch the activity going on at the ballot processing center.”

Notice it’s a year off, for starters! It’s 2024, not 2023! Link to image.

Notice we now have a new ROV and Deputy ROV just in time for our elections? What could go wrong…

Notice, for a county of over 500,000 people, only 2 Republicans and 2 Democrats will be able to watch the “election process.” Can you believe this horse$#*%!

Notice in the last election, we showed they broke all the laws and court orders, counting our votes in secret:

Notice now they say since we have cameras up and will let 2 Republicans and 2 Democrats and 4 other political party representatives into the glass fart box, they are complying with state law.

That’s so not true.

A simple glance at the NRS and case law shows it’s not the case: Disallowing the public their right to observation is a violation of the Washoe County court’s orders in [Exh, 72 in my lawsuit, BEADLES VS. RODRIGUEZ, NVSC 87683] and the Nevada Revised Statutes and Nevada Administrative Code: N.R.S. 293.269931 § 1, 293.3606 § 1, 293.363 § 1, and N.R.S. 293B.353, 293B.354, 293B.380 § 2(a), and N.A.C. 293.311 § 4.

In United States v. Classic, 313 U.S. 299, 329 (1941), the Court emphasized the importance of “free and honest elections” and the need to protect against “corruption” and “pollution” in the electoral process.

When election practices reach “the point of patent and fundamental unfairness,” the integrity of the election itself violates substantive due process. Griffin v. Burns, 570 F.2d 1065, 1077 (1st Cir. 1978); Duncan v. Poythress, 657 F.2d 691, 702 (5th Cir. 1981); Florida State Conference of N.A.A.C.P. v. Browning, 522 F.3d 1153 1183-84 (11th Cir. 2008); Roe v. State of Ala. By & Through Evans, 43 F.3d 574, 580-82 (11th Cir. 1995); Roe v. State of Alabama, 68 F.3d 404, 407 (11th Cir. 1995); Marks v. Stinson, 19 F.3d 873, 878 (3rd Cir. 1994)

Simply putting some cameras up, that show movement, not what processes are being done is not observation, we must be able to ensure they are legitimately verifying signatures as per the law, following chain of custody as per the law, and allowing for observation of the tabulation, as per the law. We must be able to meaningfully observe to ensure our votes are being processed legally.

The so-called media doing this little fluff piece is a disgrace. Shame on KOLO for trying to sway the people of Washoe into believing the elections will have meaningful observation and meaningful representation by we the people in the process.

2 Democrats, 2 Republicans, and 4 people from other parties are all who are allowed to watch movement but not actually observe the process? It’s disgusting. In California, they can actually watch this process 3 feet away from the workers, behind glass. Here, we can watch some fuzzy figures on video scurry back and forth with no clue what they are doing while these people say it’s observing our elections as per law. It’s disgusting.

Here, we used to be able to exercise our rights at a precinct level and ensure our votes were being processed legally, now they cram everything under one roof, filled with “their” people, not “We The People”, and then say they don’t have the space to do anything else.

Do you see how even if they aren’t criminals, it seems criminal?

This must be called out. You must not be silent. You must peacefully call this out. I am preparing to file injunctions if needed. I have our legal teams prepped and ready to go, we’ll see what the County does shortly, if they can’t follow the law, then they must be criminally charged and injunctions on the entire process filed.

We’re losing our country, you and I both know it. This has to stop before it’s too late. Get peacefully involved now.

Show up to today’s county commission meeting and support Commissioners Jeanne Herman and Mike Clark, they are the only two fighting for you and your families and our elections.

Commissioner Hill and County Manager Brown have the Herman Single Line Election Integrity resolution that makes for a parallel hand count possible. They have the ability to pass it. It is in every voter’s best interest they do.

Time is running out, peacefully show up and speak out. The County Commission Meeting is at TODAY 10am show up early 1001 E 9th Street Reno!

See you there!
