Get. The. Popcorn.

Elon Musk tweeted on Friday that Tesla is starting a “hardcore litigation department” that reports directly to him:

“Tesla is building a hardcore litigation department where we directly initiate & execute lawsuits. The team will report directly to me. Please send 3 to 5 bullet points describing evidence of exceptional ability.”

He added:

“My commitment: – We will never seek victory in a just case against us, even if we will probably win. – We will never surrender/settle an unjust case against us, even if we will probably lose.”

He does want experienced litgators:

And he wants “hardcore streetfighters, not white-shoe lawers like Perkins or Cooley who thrive on corruption.”

He also promised, “there will be blood”:

Might we suggest our colleague, Kurt Schlicter?

Kurt’s not interested, however:

Oh, there are so many good applicants we can think of, too:

He’s “preparing for battle”:

We do wonder if this means “there are more shoes yet to drop”:

And, we assume, libs will be quick to flood the email he has set up:

It’s probably already happening:

So, is this a good move for Tesla?

*We* love it but investors might not:
